This Load is TOO Heavy!

I was watching my little grandson pulling his sister along on a makeshift wagon the other say when he stopped and said with a sigh, "Mimi, this load is just too heavy!" And then I thought about it. I thought about all extra pounds we carry on our frames that we were never meant to carry.
I have determined that there are 47 pounds that are going somewhere else. They have received their eviction notice and have to leave. I know how to do this. I've done it before (now that's a shame to have to admit) and I can do it again. If you want to come along with me, follow this blog. Post your thoughts, your recipes, your adivce to others and let's see what we can do together. If you don't want to ride this train, it's pulling out full steam anyway! All ABOARD!

  1. Choo!! Choo!! Thanks for starting this blog. You are fast! I too have sent an eviction notice to my extra baggage. It is weighting and wearing me down. I have lost 16 thus far by jumping on the slim fast kick with the girls at work. I won't be doing it again when the supplies are gone. I will be watching and counting calories. I have 50+ pounds to go. I have been exploring lots of new foods and recipes lately. I have also recently aquired a food steamer and have been steaming vegetables and meats. I'm loving it. I haven't worked exercise into my plan yet. Life with a child in school, a spouse, and work leaves me wondering where to fit it in. With better weather coming, hopefully I will find a way. I too have been down this road before. Some 6 years ago I lost around 55lbs. And as you, I have done it before, I know how to do it, and I am determined to succeed again. Here's to our success, Cheers!!

  2. YEA! So glad you are with me and thanks for sharing your success thus far. The steamed veggies are wonderful and I find they can be as addictive as other goodies almost when you train your thoughts to think that way. I keep extra cans of Progresso soup in the cabinet (the 0 and 1 point values that are printed on the label) for emergencies or quick meals. I don't use them straight from the can but put them in a small crockpot, add a can of Rotel, a can of mixed vegetables or a can of carrots and cook for a couple of hours. This doesn't add points or calories either as the veggies, canned carrots, and Rotel are considered "free foods" that don't up the overall points or calories per serving. You can also throw in a little diced boiled chicken breast and even some additional seasoning. It's delicious, easy, and guilt free.
