The maximum amount suggested for an adult when monitoring sodium intake is 2300 mg. I just looked it up and a fastfood chicken dinner (they didn't say nuggets or strips or from which FF place) is 2246 mg! Holy Cow! No wonder America suffers with high blood pressure. And just think of what you are giving the little ones when you get a chicken nugget Happy Meal!

The amount of sodium found in processed foods should be a crime!! Holy Cow is a perfect expression.
ReplyDeleteWell, yesterday I flunked out completely. I snacked and had an orange soda too. (Yikes!) But, It was sooooo good. I don't know if I did anything that was healthy yesterday. I did work in the yard and wash windows yesterday which was some extra exercise. Maybe I can feel good about that.
ReplyDeleteToday is a new day with it's own opportunities. Today, I will try harder to drink more water and not have unhealthy snacks. I think I will make a list of goals for today. That might help keep me on track.
Have a wonderful day.
Oh you can't have done as bad as I did today!
ReplyDeleteWanna bet???? Ha!!
